Job Description:
The Production Supervisor supervises production areas under span of control in order to achieve the greatest utilization of human and physical assets consistent with safety, quality, productivity goals, and to support the needs of the customer. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Fostering a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed.
2. Must be representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the Baldor goals and objectives.
3. Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department.
4. Will be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping, and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Will also be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity, and overall performance.
5. Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
6. Must have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area.
7. Must work with all other departments, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals.
8. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and discipline direct reports.
9. Enforce general handbook policies fairly and consistently.
10. Must be flexible in work hours.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, additional college or military training is highly desired. Those who meet all other requirements with demonstrated experience in the field will be considered.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum three years of experience as well as the following (unless otherwise noted):

Experience:
Candidate must be able to supervise employees while achieving all daily production goals.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Attention to detail, time efficiency and utilization of manpower
Effective time management and the ability to prioritize.
Understand manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex-Flow and Lean concepts.
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, with a strong desire to learn new things.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and perform well under pressure.
Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes.
Good interpersonal skills demonstrated by working relationships with others.
Must be able to work any shift and weekends as required.
Physical and Mental Requirements of this job:
1. The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. close to the body .
2. The ability and willingness to use company designated personal protective equipment.
3. Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions, prints and gauges.
4. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting and lifting (assisted and unassisted).
5. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
6. Ability to work in the factory environment (concrete floor, heat, cold, noise, allergies, etc.).
7. Ability to use hand tools.
8. Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time.
9. Occasional travel (domestic and/or international)
10. Ability to complete complex projects under deadlines.
11. Ability to prioritize competing demands to complete assignments on time.
12. Must be a high-performing, self-motivated, action-oriented individual.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
