Continuous Improvement Manager

This position provides continuous improvement/lean team oriented problem solving services and direction for the Westville, OK motor plant.
Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience)
Drives Continuous Improvement to quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality,
and service
Owns project tracking and reporting for WST - aligned with budget expectations including OpEx and Environmental improvement projects.
Support to Engineering team in Project Reporting and planning
Trains and educates the organization and implements continuous improvement methodologies including but not limited to 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE and others, as well as project management.
Responsible for improving data integrity and developing improvement plans based on the data
Supports safety as a top priority - in training, job design, ergonomics, and regulatory compliance
Champions product quality. Establishes and manages systems for "right the first time" performance and incorporates this philosophy in the continuous improvement teams.
Focused on top priority opportunities and issues at WST, as well as larger, inter-plant CI initiatives
Identifies and works collaboratively with the plant staff members to make enhancements that drive business results improvements and equity for all plant employees.
Associates' degree AND 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelors' Degree AND 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience
Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Business
5+ years of experience in motor manufacturing
6 Sigma and lean certification
Project Management experience
Toyota Production System experience
Working knowledge of OEE and implementation of OEE
Competent in Microsoft Office, SAP, and our other manufacturing systems software/applications.
Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas including production and quality
Ability to read, write and speak in English, and effectively communicate in oral and written form with internal and external stake holders in English.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
